Featured Replies

Can somebody tell us if the VIN number will show what BRAND of tyres were fitted when car was delivered new. Or where can we get that information please.

Octy 2, 1.9 TDI PD Ambiente 4x4 Combi and Nissan Sunny 2.0 DLX, Company Octy 1.9 TDI Tor Combi.

Nope, it won't state what brand I'm afraid.

You won't find out that info anywhere I'm afraid, as it changes very frequently. Have heard of Octavias on Continentals, Michellins and Bridgestones from new.

Hi R30

Please tell me what Michelins and where were they made ??

Hi,

They are Michelin Pilot Primacy XSE.

225/45 -17" They are made in Germany.

The traction rating is "AA" which is what you want for good grip especially in the wet.

How do you know they are made in Germany, what markings on the tyre tell you that ??

There is a clear country of origin on the tyre .

OK thanks

most tyres i see are continentals, which would make sense considering the deal between VAG and them, and dunlop and goodyear.
