Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

First off im posting this in the octy section and i have an octy VRS but just wanted to comment on the fabia, i had my dads fabia VRS out this evening for a bit of a play and gave it a damn good thrashing and f**k me i was impressed, might not have the out right grunt of my remapped octy but bloody hell it goes and you can chuck it about much better than the octy.....left me with many of these when i was done :D:D:D:D

Well done the furby:thumbup:

P.S still prefer my octy lol

Horses for courses IMO. The Furbie is a better B-road blaster, but the Octy runs it close, and is better for long A-road and dual cabbageway tabs.

Yeah thats what i thought, Furby was much better for some rally esq driving but the octy is better for longer hauls and more open roads but none the less i was very impressed and was just curious as to what other octy owners who had driven the furby VRS thought.

I used to have a Fabia vRS... Octy wins hands down on most things, but I felt the Fabia to have a better turn in

I had a remapped octavia Vrs estate and loved it to bits, due to a fire i lost it and decided to try the fabia vrs this time, well impressed, plenty of grunt even standard and does pick up speed better than your thinking it does when you look at the clock, pretty much everything you said is right, it isnt a motorway cruiser thats for sure, luckily i work 5 mins from where i live so dont have to endure travelling too far in it.

Getting it remapped 2moro so will give an honest remapped octy vs remapped Fab verdict then!

!

Totally disagree, find the Fabia is very comfortable as a motorway cruiser, did 3000 miles in 4 days last year in the Fabia and will take it again this year without a second thought to taking the octy (2) instead.

Having driven both i personaly would choose the octavia estate for any long journeys hands down.

Each to their own :)

Yes i agree, i have a octy vrs mk1 but my dad has a furby vrs and i must say it is a very rapid car around town and handles nice as well. I still love my mk1 though, on the motorway they are truly awesome making long journeys very short indeed ( timewise that is and me being an ex copper ,tut tut)

One of the major issues with the Fabia and long distance comfort is the total disregard for lumbar support. Not good...

Recently did a 3 hour journey in my Octy, no break... felt fine when I arrived :D

I regularly do 4 hour tabs with no or minimal breaks in mine (it's why I drive such a big car when my commute is only 20 mins on a bad day). The worst "ill effects" are a bit of stiffness in my right leg until I get moving afterwards, and I'd expect that regardless of car.

Have drove an Octy Ambulance vRS and it was dame fast, but i do love my Fabia vRS! People in Golf's and Fiesta ST's pull up next to me and dont look twice at it casue its a skoda. Then before they have even pulled off im half way down the road in front of them
