Does anybody out there know how to remove the door mirror housing on my Fabia VRS so that I can repair a minor split? I've tried following the instructions in the Haynes Manual with no joy, or perhaps I'm just a bit thick!

Thought I'd add to this instead of posting new. I'd like to know how the door mirror cover comes off too. I don't have a Haynes manual.

i had the same trouble but its rather easy when you know how

carefully pull the glass out of the mirror housing (please don't worry it's stronger than you think)

inside you'll find 2 torq bits at the top of the housing also theres one at the bottom to ease removal,

the bottom front of the mirror pulls forwards and then carefully pull the top of the housing up and it should come away with a little tug
