Any members with Vag-Com and an octy vRS, whats your ECU number?

Has anyone got similar to me?

2003 registered Octy Vrs Combi

ECU - 06A 906 032 BJ

Interesting. That is the ECU part number listed for the AUQ engine (vRS) for cars manufactured up to 30.04.01 ie MY2001. The replacement (exchange) part number is 06A 997 033 EX and the UK price is

Wonder why my car has a MY2001 ECU?

Perhaps its a MY2001 thats been stood around for two years!

But its an Estate, which was only introduced into the UK market around the time i bought it in 2003?

BTW, i was having a few problems (which have been fixed now, i hope) and the ECU number was commented on (was expecting HN and not BJ)
