oil sensor problem 2004 octavia elegance

Oil level sensor activates randomly, oil level ok. Sensor has been changed, problem still occurs. Also, management light comes on intermitantly.

Any help much appriciated. Cheers Jimbobrsd

Engine management light will need diagnostics to determine whats at fault.

Oil level light (yellow with wavy line under it) could be a faulty switch on the bonnet catch (depending on how often its coming on) or the wirig to the sensor (make sure it hasnt come loose and rubbing on the driveshaft).

I have been looking around for a basic cheap run around - automatic - but witout much success. There is a 2002 Fabia 1.4 16V Classic 5dr forr sale near me. £2700 (which is overpriced I feel) with 66500 miles on the clock and it says 1 previious keeper. Am I mad to be considering a 24 year old car? I just missed out on a 2013 fabia though I was worried about the DSG gearbox. I used to have sometime ago a 2003 Skoda fabia and loved it. But I'm worried about taking on such a old car. I m

I used a copy of this MSTD_EU_SK_P6230 MU0490 if anyone else needs, the site I think I had it from was mibsolution.one is currently down though. I was wary of the copy I had and passage of time, but it worked fine installed, I just have to clear the fault code ( have odbeleven but pro ran out and doesn't cover the adaption by looks of it) Excuse the state of my interior I don't use the car that much and could use a vaccuum.
