Does anyone know a good Independent garage in Inverness, Aviemore or Kingussie, preferably one which has VAG-COM or similar?

The main dealer in Inverness can look at my 2001 Fabia, but not for the best part of a fortnight. Power steering is non operational, and I need it sorted so I can sell the car (2005 Fabia SDi with 5000 miles on it just bought).

Anyone want to buy a Fabia Saloon SDi 2001, with 93K on the clock?

Check the PAS fluid level (presumes hydralic system, not electric); that might get it.

With an electric system, switch on, start engine and let idle settle, stop engine, count 10 elephants out loud, and switch on and start again. That may reset it.
