Fault And possible lead time

Featured Replies

Just to let everyone know that I just had a throttle sensor go on my brand new fabia 2.

The part for this is not avalible from the factory until 19th May (apparently) so read into that what you will. Also no one appears to have the sensor in stock........

Not good. :(

Sorry to hear that - hope you get looked after well in the meantime... :(

I could tell you different about it...PM me.

Why not share the news?

I'm surprised Skoda cannot source the part through the VAG supply chain, given that the mechanicals are shared with other VAG group cars. That's a scary delay, you should have a car to use while yours is being repaired at the very least.

I do hope you get sorted sooner rather than later. I know how upset and frustrated I would be if that happened to me.

Given the occupation of the poster it may not be appropriate - Think Lummox ;)

I had the same problem with my fabia 3, I was told that I had to wait 3 weeks because the part was unavailable.

I only had to wait a week and a half for the part though.

Car provided free by my dealer, even though it was a renault clio!!

You could try the get the part off a showroom model paddy with the dealer, its not like they have to drive it to work everyday.
