Octavia II facelift pics

Featured Replies

I'd be surprised if that's how it turns out. The front of the estate pic would involve a new bonnet and wings. Usually mid-life facelifts are limited to bumpers and lights...

Maybe in the past, but he mid-life refresh of the Focus has every body panel changed and a new dashboard.

I certainly hope that the first photos are close, looks good. Due to get a car on lease this year and only holding off ordering for a refreshed model.

yea those first pics look good

Front end on the estate looks like a BMW.

Like it.

not keen personally, think it looks too curvy and new fabia like. which, whilst I am sure is the intention, is I think, a bad thing.

The front part is great, but the rear lights are ugly . . .

I quite liked the angles and sharp lines on the Octy 2, and the Fabia 1 also. The new generation, whilst progress and change is inevitable, just look like any other car now.

The front end of the car in those pic's look like the new superb

not sure if i like the front of the hatch

looks a bit hyundai ish

just my opinion

i think this could be quite likely to be the facelift. the front end is almost identical to the new superb but what reallt catches my eye is the Octavia text on the back of the car, it uses the same text as the new superb. very interesting

I'm not sure about these.

The skodaoctavia.cz ones look pretty authentic but the image shack 'blue vRS' isn't right. The lights and radiator grille are not curvy enough and the wheels look like 19", which are bigger than would be fitted on an OEM basis. Just got the feeling its a CAD style exercise.

Overall though; yes, its adopting the Fabia, Roomster, Superb front end 'corporate look' to bring it in line. Not sure I'm in favour but in a year or two we'll all be used to it and think its great!

I think I'll wait to see official pictures rather than photoshops.

I would not be totally suprised if it did look like that, but I think it's more likely to be a freshen up in the shape of a new look grill so it fits in with the rest of the rane, and new bumpers and rear lights.

Any more than that like what Ford did with the Focus would mean they have to go through the safety crash tests all over again due to a redesigned front end and that would be quite costly for a car that is already halfway through it's lifespan.

Skoda tend to go for 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' rather than spending tens of millions on unnessecary redesgns.

I agree with both roo and bahnstormer. The blue one is taken from a magazine cover (found through google), which might explain the look. The other one is a photoshop, no doubt. It might be a blokes photoshop-fantasy, especially taken into account that the ones gula faran showes us (above), is the same picture, with a slightly altered front bumper and lights. But it might be right.

Anyway, the word is a facelift, and I look forward to it. Not that my octy II is ugly or boring, but like a man sometimes changes girlfriend... not because the old one is ugly, but... And I'm gonna get myself a CR. Love new toys...

I think vrs pics looks ace.Is there a date when it might be released?
