rubber gaitor over track rod ends

Featured Replies

hi all .......i had my front wheels of the other day to have a look at my brake pads and stuff and i noticed that on the pasenger side the rubber gaitor over the rod ends had came loose.......the gaitor itself is in good condition but is there meant to be grease in there??????.....also how do i clamp the gaitor in place .....do i use a cable tie ingyor some other thngy........also what type of grease do i use and hoe full should it be........im worried that i may have damaged my car by not noticing this.....

Don't panic!

Cable tie it back on. Don't worry about grease or anything. It's just a dust cover, not a oil seal.
