I am interested in replacing my 1.9 TDi Elegance, with nearly 100k on the clock, with a new vRS PDi

I am aware of the new common rail diesel that will be launched sometime in the future, possibly nearly a year away, but who knows.

Not sure that I can or want to wait, but also there is a good offer on from Skoda at the moment and prices are good too, less than £16500 for a new one in metallic. Also, there seems to be some DFP issues with with current diesel and not sure if the new power plant will resolve those?

The question is, historically, how regularly do Skoda have offers on the vRS in particular and when the current one finishes, will there be another along soon as they say?

Thoughts and experiences on any of the above would be very much appreciated.

Hi, I was looking at one before Xmas and the dual zone/jumbo box/alloys upgrade was available until the end of 07 I was told. As far as I am aware it is still on. I ordered the week before Xmas and it turned up March 8. So far, so good about 48mpg on a new engine and plenty mid range acceleration.
