Animated avatars

Featured Replies

Hi Could someone point me to a step by step guide to downloading and saving an animated avatar?

Thanks

Just need to find / make an animated gif AFAIK...???

hi :)

what you are looking for is an animated GIF file, the limit on briskoda is 90x90 or 100Kb i think but if you find something you want but is over this size then feel free to PM me and i can sort this out for you :)

the uploading is easy, you do it exactly the same as you would a regular avatar.

it is also possible to "grab" part of a video and create an animated gif from this with the right software, again i would probably be able to help with this :)

tbh i quite often borrow mine from elsewhere and the guys at B3TA : WE LOVE THE WEB are genius and amongst other things create seemingly randomly animations that are often rather funny.

my brother had an idea a little while ago and we made our own animated gif's from a grab of Family Guy, we had opposing avatars for a while of Peter Griffin dancing on roller skates yet 6 months or so later the images we created are now available from an avatar site and they have water marked it

Piece of cake really:

right-click the avatar you've found out there, choose option "Save image as..."

Choose appropriate folder on your hard disk, rename if you want to, click "save".

At the briskoda control panel, use option 2 for custom avatar upload.

An alternative is to right-click the avatar, choose "Copy Image Location" and paste the address using option 1 in the control panel. But then the avatar will disappear if something happens to/at the original website.

as long as it meets the requirements for the board thats perfectly fine :)
