1.9 TDi fabia versus Octavia 1.9 Tdi versus Family wrestling

Featured Replies

having just been head over heels with my new fabia Tdi sport which replaced a 1.9 Tdi Octavia I bet you did not know this. The Fabia has 240 nmof torque which equates to 177 lbs per foot against the Octavia's 250 nm of torque which equates to 184 lbs per foot.

You can tel the Octavia has the better torque - the technician chief at my suppllying dealer bay Horse Motor said it was down to ECU configuration. The Fabia needs less torque has significantly lighter car than the Octavia.

However, they both sound different. In all honesty the Fabia sound is not as rich as the Octavia. However, in second gear I feel there is a definitive advantage to the Fabia and mine has only done 250 miles to date.

The corrida red is superb in this car. it looks the same as VW Tornado red - really deep and suits the bodykit on the Sport.

The Sport is not a VRS - but make no mistake this is one heel of a car. My preference would have been white, but there were none in the country.

We also have a Fiat 500 and guess what - at present I would rather drive the fabia despite the 500's pose factor. Nuff said.

Anyone looking to lower their Fabia - please post.

Not at all sorry.... Corrida is more orangey, Tornado is more pink :)
