vRS'06 Cooling Fan

Featured Replies

Hi , I own a 06 vRS mark 1 in India , Its done about 27000 kms , now that summers are here in India with a vengence the AC's decides to play up.

When started in the morning the AC works as it should , but after a longish drive say approx 45 mins with the AC on if I were to ever break journey and then commence again after a couple of minutes the AC takes approx 15 -20 mins to start cooling again just throws out hot air until the compressor kicks in again.

I lifted the hood today after getting to work and switched on the AC , what I found was both cooling fans did not come on. Only after switching the AC on and off a couple of times both fans came on:confused:

Any ideas on what causing the delay for the fan to come on ??

Just so you all know both fans were replaced under warranty a couple of months back as the the larger fan burnt out.

Help would be appreciated..

The engine cooling fans are thermostatically controlled, so they might be working correctly. They're nothing to do with the AC though, they're just for the engine.

From my experience, there's something wrong with your AC, but I don't know what.
