squeak

Featured Replies

I am starting to hear a small squeak from the from nearside wheel area whilst driving. I can go over large bumps (speedhumps etc) and don't hear anything and I can go over small bumps (bad road surface etc) and get this quiet squeak. I have heard it twice when turning (can't remember which direction).

I read on here that you can squirt WD40 onto some part or another that may help. As a complete novice at these things, what do I squirt and where will I find it?

I drive a 2001 Fabia 16V Comfort.

Thanks.

I would think that you need to spray WD40 on nothing that is okay as WD40 is just some form of jungle juice and caster oil - and that would not be too good for any rubbery bits. On the other hand if you nose around the car and find the TCA rubbery bush bits - well the large rear end ones, and they look split or knackered, if you spray WD40 on these bits and the noise goes away then you know that you need to get them replaced
