Hi Skoda lovers:)

Recently bought a 54 Octavia VRS after being a confirmed fast Ford man. No regrets so far. Hopefully will have no cause to seek advice on car problems, but it's always good to be able to get in touch with other owners.

Have just started tarting up the engine bay - metallic blue engine cover and some chrome bits on order from Awesome GtI - well you've got to have an excuse to get out of the house!:P

Your username almost shocked me since I've a colleague named Chris Allen (Brummie boy) but if you order parts from Awesome you're probably not living in Sweden so it must be sheer coincidence?

Definitely not a Brummie - I'm a country boy from Cornwall. Still, we've got some great quiet roads to try the VRS out on!

Hi all, I recently ran a ODB II on my car and it’s came up a couple of fault codes, as follows: P20EE Nitrogen oxide (NOx) sensor, catalyst, bank 1 - efficiency below threshold Status: Pending Engine control unit P003D(75) Intake camshaft profile control A, bank 1 - stuck on Status: Test failed, Pending, Test failed since last DTC clear, Test not completed during this operation cycle And to add to this, it’s regening every 100 miles and recently went into limp mode with a coil light on the da

Have any members carried out a cam belt replacement on a diesel mk3 Octavia VRS themselves? If so, how difficult would it be for a driveway DIY'er to do and what advice could you provide. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sadly said goodbye to my mk4 vrs estate in black last weekend. Exactly 3 years old, 28k miles - a great car (apart from the Bridgestone tyres!) If anyone is after a good mk4 with pan roof, winter pack and complete Skoda service history, they have it for sale at Winchester Skoda and Ryan is your man. Took delivery of a brand new stock vrs estate in Smokey Silver. Tow bar, winter pack, pan roof, dcc, canton and simply clever pack. Early thoughts are they it sounds so much nicer on the exhaust not

Hi all, I've had my mk4.5 Octavia vRS for almost 3 weeks and while I find it to be a great car overall, there's some things that are a bit annoying. Lane assist: I understand what it's trying to do but the implementation seems flawed so it's a good thing it's easy to switch off. I had forgotten to turn it off today though and while driving down a road which is wide enough for two cars but only if you stick to the edge of the road, the lane assist kept trying to push me closer to the centre.
