Featured Replies

Please help!

I have a spring shaped warning light which has appeard on my 52 Skoda Fabia.

Does anyone know what it is and if it is a major problem

Thank you

Is it a diesel Fabia, if so is it not just the glow plug light? (amber 'spring' light inside the rev counter)

Welcome to Briskoda as well!

Matt

Definitely glow plug.

Welcome :)

Hello and welcome. Sounds like the glow plugs to me too.

welcome to briskoda, sounds like your glowplug light. I would suggest a search on the forum for glowplug light.

Does it flash?

The most common problem is the brake light switch needs replacing a common fabia problem.

My Skoda is a Diesel 1.9 SDI.

The warning light does not appear all of the time, it usualy starts flashing after I have started driving. The car always starts first time, every time.

Please Help !!!!

welcome along

Hello and welcome to Briskoda. As mentioned, it sounds like the glow plugs. As for costs to repair, I'd imagine it was, ooo, ahh.. just a little bit. :)

Hello and welcome. Sounds like the glow plugs to me too.

:agree:

Hiya.

The light is normally the glow plug light". In this case it's telling you that there's a problem with the brake light switch though. It's a pretty well documented problem. Anyone who's dubious should do a site search for "brake light switch", and check the number of hits they get from the Furbie, Octy and maybe Superb and Roomster fora.
