Is it Hydraulic or Electro Hydraulic? i.e. can i bu**er around with the sensitivity?

Cheers

Chris

electro hydraulic and you can adjust the sensitivity.

electro hydraulic and you can adjust the sensitivity.

Its actually electro mechanical, no fluid.

Not that I'm doubting you, but I just did a quick google as I thought it was electro-hydraulic, and have come up with conflicting answers. Is it different depending on which engine you had (last googled site was a 1.9tdi)

Edit: example..Skoda Octavia TDi - Autocar.co.uk

Its actually electro mechanical, no fluid.

I agree, Autocar doesn't get everything correct - I recall in one of the first Fabia road tests they reported that the radio button kept on falling off, they didn't realise that it was a removeable security panel.

Yes. But remember that it's not possible to change anymore from MY07 forwards. Only pre - MY07 have the possibility.

Also it might not be possible to change if you have retrofitted a MFSW and when doing that have changed the steering module controller to a newer version.

I did that and now I cannot change the steering assist setting anymore.

thats a bugger, would have liked my steering that bit more twitchy lol

Wrong type of twitchy. I'm after more response, not the effect that standard 'crap' damping gives.

Chris

yea, id like a bit faster turn in, requiring less lock
