How do P.O.I's work on Tomtom

Featured Replies

Seem to have lost my instructions.... :o

Have downloaded Shell POIs from the web for my tomtom 700 - both in OV2 and BMP format (not knowing which one was applicable) - Have copied them all on to my tomtom via the my computer screen (could not get into the tomtom any other way) and now can't seem to get the POIs to appear on the screen.

What am I doing wrong?

I have a TomTom 520 , i downloaded some other ones and this is how i set mine up . . .

Go into "CHANGE PREFERENCES" then into "SHOW P.O.I ON MAP" as you highlight each one they come on with a little yellow tick on the left side of the screen , once you select the ones you want they are stored until you want to add/remove them

I think I got it sussed. :o

Managed to get into the Tomtom via "explore" option on right click, and all the POI files I'd dragged in were in the main screen, so I dragged them into the Western Europe folder, and it seems OK now. [fingers crossed]

Yep, they just need to be in the same folder as the main mapping files and all should be well
