Xenon Upgrade

It's a saved pic in my attachments, I opened it in another window, copied the URL and pasted it via the 'Insert Image' button.

It's an old pic from my first Octy 2, I'll check the beams on my current car when the opportunity arises.

Please don't misinterpret this as 'having a pop' at your lights or anything, it's purely my curiosity at play as I always thought the cutoff patterns were the same regardless of the light source :)

Meh! I just like the quiet life :D

That cut off pattern is much much better than the HIDS4U kit I had in the Nissans (Xtrail and Navara). Obviously the projector lenses make a huge difference.

Very impressed.

May have 5o think of that myself.

Did you get the 35w or 55w kit from them and do the ballasts fit inside the rear of the headlamp?

Steve

The Projector lenses and optics have much more control over the beam cutoffs than the cheaper multi-relector lenses fitted to most cars (Fabias, for instance)

You should never fit Hid's to multi-lensed headlamps, because you will dazzle everybody.

I got the 35w H7 Ultimate kit. They dont do a 55w one yet for the Octavia. And you have to get the ultimate kit because of the bulb failure warning light. Just remember to do a search on google for a coupon code that will get you 10% off

and do the ballasts fit inside the rear of the headlamp?

Steve

Everything fits inside the plastic cover thats on the back of the headlight. The only time this wont work is if you get a H1 kit for the main beam. The Ballast etc will then have to be fixed somewhere inside the engine bay.

It will look like a bit of a squeeze to get everything in there but it definately all fits inside the plastic cover. If you do get a kit and get stuck give me a shout and ill take some pics of the inside so you can see how it all fits in
