In-phase XT speakers spotted cheap, are they any good?

Featured Replies

Came across this Cheap In-Car Entertainment I understand that the company itself is renowned for poor customer service and used to be called savastore.com, but £17.40 delivered for speakers that have gone for £35 delivered on ebay here and cost £75.98 delivered here is a deal that can't be turned down if the speakers are decent and they turn up.

Have searched the net and cannot find anything particularly convincing about them either way. Their head units InPhase IPS920SD CD / MP3 / USB / SD Card Player, Car headunit stereo IPS920SD from In Phase appear to be cheap chinese manufactured stuff with their name printed on the front which doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

My other option would be Pioneer TS-H467 £41.98 delivered here Pioneer TS-H467 - Custom fit - Pioneer Speakers - Online-Caraudio.co.uk

ya gets what ya pays for.

Guess my point is you can pay a whole lot more than the cheapest price :D (although the full price could be over-inflated, or running on a similar principle to those £20 watches with a £400 tag hung off it in a fancy box at the car boot). Just wondering if anyone knew the brand

The inphase speakers will not be the best quality.

If you need 5x7's and are running them from the head unit alone (ie no amps) then you could do a lot worse than the below for the money.

Car Audio Direct - Alpine SXE-5725S - Speakers

Make sure they are fitted well with no leaks around the mounting points, and ideally spend a tenner or so on some simple deadening.

You should then have a set of nice sounding reasonably cheap speakers. :)
