Does anybody know a good skoda breakers yard,i may be in need of a new secondary air injection pump for my octy VRS but dont quite fancy paying the £300ish for a new one as its not totally knackered!

Whats actually wrong with your secondary air pump? Its not by any chance very loud when you start the car then whooshes when it cuts out? If so easy fix

That's what mine sounds like

No one seems to know the exact problem,it works fine but i keep getting an engine management light on with the 16795 fault,incorrect secondary air flow.I had some loose hoses that were reattached but didnt fix it then the pump was looking a bit tatty and the casing of it was starting to separate so had the rivets on the casing replaced and the pump cleaned up but still no luck,all systems related to the pump were checked and tested and are working fine so the conclusion was that there is something wrong with the pump internally but not enough to knacker the pump completly.All this work was done by an independant VAG specialist.

Out of curiosity what is the esy fix??
