Damn Exhaust warning light...

Featured Replies

Firstly,I would like to thank VRStu for the advice about removing the radio, I was fitting the Dension Gateway 100. The radio came out OK, but you should really check the CD changer connector before ordering it, as it appears there are 3 different connectors.

The Ipod will change track, but I still haven't managed to get the playlists sorted.

However, I've recently had the performance drop off (engine running in safe mode) and I had the Mass Air Flow sensor replaced under warranty, which lasted a day, then the Exhaust Control warning light now comes on when the engine's warm and the car struggles to accelerate.

My question is this. How long should I run the car with this light on (only comes on after an hour of town driving). I have to travel about 80 miles per day to work (all motorway)and the car is scheduled to be back to the garage on Friday.

Thats not an exhaust warning light, thats the Check Engine light. The car will have recorded a fault code on the computer, and this will need to be read to accertain whats gone wrong. The light has a multidue of meanings so I cant be more specific.
