  1. It also helps to clear ice if you use the heated rear screen, rather than scraping, or in conjunction with scraping. I have to back off my drive and wouldn't feel as confident without it, and, of course, it works automatically if you are using the front wipers. I often find that useful first thing in the morning.
  2. An emphatic yes. Even with a rear view camera, it's still necessary, especially in the recent weather
  3. Yup, Wisbech area. Apart from mine, I haven't seen one though apparently Walkers in King's Lynn have a black demonstrator so that might change
  4. Keep your eyes open. I'm usually swanning about the area - Silver L&K 280 hatch. Give me a wave.
  5. Got mine - silver L&K hatch - 4th December. Don't know what number that makes me, but the car is fantastic
  6. When I started this thread, the hatch was opening randomly. It's only to the thanks of my neighbours that the interior of my car wasn't soaked too. At that time I was carrying the key in my pocket when I came into the house. I then started to hang it on the wall when I went indoors and I had no more problems. However, when I recently forgot and left the key in my pocket the boot opened again. At the time I was in the same room where I hang the key , but it does seem that having the key in my pocket contributed to the hatch opening. The other thing I did was pay attention to the order I close and lock the doors. Previously I was locking the car by touching the door handle after closing the hatch - now I lock the car before I open and close the hatch. Time will tell if I have any more problems, but I seem to have found some possible reasons why it happens. Has anyone else found anything that works?
  7. Yes, Unclewang, in Wisbech. And thanks to others for suggestions. Very grateful. Car is booked in for an investigation, so we'll see what happens. I also read it might have to do with the state of the battery.
  8. New Superb 280 L&K. Took delivery 4th December and all is great except the hatch will sometimes open of its own accord - not when driving, thankfully, but when parked, and sometimes overnight. Obviously not good so any ideas please?
  9. My experience of Wings has been entirely positive over the past six years or so. Both my partner and I buy from them and have our cars serviced there. I feel they are interested in what I want, are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their products. In addition they are unfailingly helpful, that goes for both sales and service. They would have to give me a really bad deal for me to go elsewhere. My point of contact has been Dan Killock who simply couldn't do more. Justin too, has been very helpful. Couldn't recommend them more highly.
  10. My reminder letter came from Skoda on 20/11/15 and I picked my car up last Friday - 04/12/2015 if that helps. It was well worth the wait from an August order!
  11. Dealer didn't give confirmed build date. He said he expected it to move forward from the original date he gave. Seems it's all flexible
  12. I envy you. Mine's gone from early October build to build week 45 - that's early November I think. Ordered last week in July.
  13. Don't know about the deposit contribution but the quote I have is 5.2% over 42 months. Works out at £425 pcm with £2k deposit. GFV is £11521
