  1. The vRS 4x4 seems to have disappeared from the configurator .... anyone know why? Was hoping to order one soon, please don't tell me they have dropped it?!? Still appears elsewhere on the website.
  2. Thanks. A lifelong Caravanner so happy towing up to around the 95% mark. Fanatical about loading and have had Alko ATC on my last few vans for that extra belt and braces. My previous vRs models were super stable. We are however looking to change Caravan for 2017 so would go for something lighter. I am aware power would be down on the Volvo but looking for something more fuel efficient so something has to give!
  3. Anyone towing 1400 - 1500kg with a vRs 4x4?
  4. Having had three vRS TDis in the past ... I only moved away to get 4wd. So now Skoda have sorted that out I am keen to have another vRS when the time comes to change cars .... March 17 ish. So got some questions! Who has one? What do you think? What extras did you order? How long did you wait for it ( I waited for 9 months for a Yeti 170 TDi that replaced my last vRs)? More specifically anyone towing with one? If so what weight? Is the factory bracket fully wired? Previous vRs's all towed really well. Loads of questions .... Sorry!
  5. Had mine replaced yesterday on my XC60. Auto glass did it at home .... Heated screen did cause an issue. Done within about an hour. Much more straightforward than I thought.
  6. A local company uses a Yellow Yeti for towing training ... it has been replaced with a facelifted one. Both are/were Yellow with black roof/wheels/mirror caps. Looks OK but wouldn't buy one!
  7. This is the car I have always wanted .... had three vRS 170TDi's in the past and loved them. Then wanted a 4x4 so went Yeti 170 before an awful Tiguan 177 and now a wonderful Volvo XC60 D5. My heart remains a vRS owner. Will be very interested when time comes to change ... if it is heavy enough for my caravan that is. My previous VRs's towed well but that was with a lighter 'van.
  8. It was actually really easy. Mine was on the window .... a friend has a Peugeot where it is stuck on the paintwork!!!
  9. Good decision .... swapping my 170 Yeti for a 177 Tig was the worst decision I ever made ... Tig lasted 53 weeks before getting chopped in for my current (wonderful) Xc60. Arnold Clark VW in Wishaw was awful, Arnold Clark Volvo in Stirling have been much better .... but neither has touched the service of my friendly Skoda dealer. Oh and the first thing I did when getting the Volvo home was remove the orange sticker!!!
  10. I used Milenco Aeros on my Yeti with great success .... in the meantime though I dropped one and replaced them with Grand Aeros, they do make a difference and the view they give is great.
  11. I wouldn't recommend it either .... they did import an Airstream Bambi for a while which would have been OK.
  12. So far so good ... fuel is mid 30's but mine is the auto, the weather has been cold and no long runs ... so not too fussed for now. Otherwise I cannot fault it.
  13. I had three 170 vRS models (one PD and two CRs) prior to my 170 Yeti. Loved them all! Went to the Yeti after two very snowy winters ... not that the vRS ever got stuck but more for piece of mind. Lots to commend them both .... I guess the vRS models were more fun but the Yeti had the higher driving position and was slightly better with the caravan on the back. Day to day the higher ride height was better for sleeping policemen (especially towing) and for flooded roads. Try one out.
  14. Lets just go for .... hush Joan!
