Hey all, ive a early 2009 plate Mazda 6. I know its not ready yet, but im askin in preperation

I've never had a car this new, and im not quite sure whats involved in getting the car MOT'd. I've read that you dont get a letter through to remind you etc etc.

So what do you do? Just turn upto two weeks prior to the registration date?

Yes as straight forward as that, take your regestration ducument with you , after that it is online

You can turn up, upto 4 weeks before the MOT and it will run 12 months from 3 years after the registration date. Its all on the computer so the reg document should not be needed.

My Superbs first MOT is due in September and it'll be going in at the start of august, that way if anything is highlighted I can get it sorted under warranty before it runs out.

Don't forget you have to book in with your chosen MOT centre, you can't just turn up on the offchance anymore. The nanny state doesn't tell you when it's due.

And to tax online, you need 4 weeks of your MOT left - or in your case 4 weeks before your 1st MOT is due.
