To say that I was a little surprised at Stoners announcement would be an understatement.
Clearly the rest of the season will be ridden to forfill his contract with Honda. At least he'll still riding at 10/10ths looking at qualifying at Le Mans this weekend.

I still think Rossi is the better overall rider, though still not back to his best since his leg break.

Anybody else surprised?

Cant say i really liked the whining little turd but the standard of racing will suffer without him.

I give it a year and he makes a comeback....he's only 28 after all.

I can understand his decesion.

He does not like the bikes becomig easier as it dissolves the prototype specialism.

Also he is a dad and seeing Marco getting killed must have upset most of them.

He has got millions and a great life in Oz.

He could become a development rider or just turn his back in it completely.

Still then best rider in the last 5 years and I say that as not being a Honda fine and the Honda has often being the most powerful bike by quite a way but you still have to ride it.

He has made some big mistakes in his time,this may be the biggest.
