Spotted on the spec list - Selection of driving profile

Featured Replies

I've been playing with the configurator and noticed on one the output a line saying "Modular transverse matrix (MQB) drive select (Charisma)/selection of driving profile".

Is this a switchable "sport" , "comfort" , "something else" button do we reckon? Don't think I've seen that mentioned before.

This was on a CR150 Elegance with Sports suspension by the way....

There's a thread on here that starts with a list of standard equipment, the sport/comfort/eco mode selection is mentioned in there.

That'll be it then, thanks.

Could be? Charisma is a term associated with the Audi Drive Select system within the MMI.

MQB is just the modular platrform which the group (VAG) are now using.

I had noticed this in the brochure (page 17):

"Driving Mode Selection. Standard from SE, Driving Mode Selection allows the driver to adapt the car’s behaviour to their preference or needs. Four driving modes are available, normal, sport, eco and individual (allowing the driver to configure their own settings). The car will then adapt the engine torque, accelerator sensitivity, power steering, headlight control (where AFS is fitted), DSG transmission, and air conditioning to suit the profile selected."

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be the option for this to control suspension e.g. from the Golf pricelist:

"ACC (Adaptive Chassis Control) Variable suspension settings – choice of three settings: Sport, comfort and normal." (+£795)

this being like Drive Select for Audis when you have "Audi drive select with damper control" (+£980 on a A4)..
