MotoGP Goes to BT Sport

Featured Replies

Another sport the BBC have let go. All they'll have left is Snooker and Tennis. Will this kill MotoGP off in this country? Lots of the same complaints are coming out that many F1 fans had when Sky took over the coverage. I could never get into MotoGP but lots of big names are joining BT Sport so if you can afford it could be a Sky rival

I would love anything other than Sky. Unfortunately where I live, Sky is the only option. I can't help but think that its such a shame that to follow and support the sports that you love, you have to pay for it. Every time that I hear something like this it just makes me think even more about distancing myself from the sports that have I followed for years. All of the people involved in the sports never really seem to put anything back into them and just appear to take take take. It doesn't seem right to me.

It's definitely made my viewing of F1 harder and I don't know what BBC are playing at. The way it's going all they'll be left with is Question of Sport.

I would like more sports go to independant and I hope the move of MotoGP to BT works out.

It should be cheap. I prefer Eurosport's commentary but they do not run MotoGP live.

I would like it that you can have these services without a Freeview aerial as I only have a Sky dish and no aerial but I do have two Infinity 2 connections so bandwidth should not be a problem.

Dislike Murdoch empire but they currently pay the most for the various sports and have virtually kept Country Cricket alive.

Apparently going to be given free to most/all Infinity customers and that must be a million or two.

It is all about competing with Sky's TV and Broadband package.

Presumably they will resell it to Sky, Virgin etc so it will probably be available through all platforms but with BBC licence fee decreasing in real terms they were never going to hold on to it.

BT, which was a publicly owned company of course before being partly sold off in the 80's by MT and complely in the early nineties.

It has just appeared as a couple of channels on Sky's menu !
