I bought a cable from Gendan a while ago, and used it successfully on my mk1 octavia tdi with the registered and activated version of vcds lite. (Paid $99 to Ross tech)

I now have a mk2 octavia, and understand that they will not communicate through my old cable due to the can network.

Can I buy a compatible cable, or do I go all out and buy the full vcds from Ross tech?

If I can buy a cable, where from, and what should I look for?

For the CAN equipped Octy MK2 you'll need to buy the full blown cable.

You should be able to buy a new cable at a discount http://store.ross-te.../cat/IntUp.html

Have a word with Gendan or ilexa.
