Hmmm, part of me is wondering about going for a white roof on my black estate. Wonder if anyone's done that yet so I can see what it looks like?

Ooh, the opposite of this... (yes, I know they're solar panels)

I think a white roof is very 'Mini', which is good, or Citroen. The later being a perfect reason 'not' to do it (not a fan of the brand due to car history).

You may find a dark grey gloss will look good on a black car or if you can find a good looking gloss carbon fibre wrap.

Just been given a price for wrapping the roof @ about £120. The guy that will do uses some really cool techniques with multi layer applications to create embossed details so I might look at something a bit more unique as well.

Will update when done.

Nemtex, how will he cut the vinyl on the edges are there isn't an edge to cut into. Interesting to see how a pro would do it.

Seems quite cheap, have you seen them cutting, you do not want to end up like Boss fox!

He had a look at the edges saying something about trim tape or lining tape where they basically put this on first and cut into this instead of the paint. Well thats the idea anyway.... hopefully. You mentioned this issue before which is why I bottled it and decided to get someone to do it for me.

I was working on a stand at a local show last week and they had a couple of example cars there and they were also doing several live demonstration wraps.

Looked like they knew what they were doing and I spent over an hour yesterday getting a tour of the workshops yesterday evening. Have to say the guy is 'very' passionate about his job and really keen to experiment with new ideas.

I'd love to get into it professionally myself, it's very rewarding.

Sounds just like the guy I spoke to. He is very passionate about it... almost fanatical. It's nice to be able to stand back and say 'I did that and it looks awesome'. I did the same thing after I had my first ICE install. did it myself the second time and I think I did a better job. Been doing myself ever since.
