Are they the same ??

Part numbers are 06A 906 031 for the AGU and 06A 906 031BA for the AUQ

I've acquired a set and am thinking of getting them serviced as spares/testing

no, agu are around 270cc@3bar and auq are 314cc@3bar

Yeah did a bit of late night digging last night and theyre a bigger unit aswell.

how much? Have you got the ignition output stage module that goes on the back of the airbox too by chance?

I got the manifold, fuel rail and injectors, can have a look at what's left of the block and let you know. I have no idea what state the injectors are in but the car ran fine until a rod decided to leave the party !!!
