Anyone got a TDI sump pan they could bring over? :S

Featured Replies

Seems mine has kicked the bucket.

I caught something earlier in the week pretty hard, pulled up straight away and couldn't see anything really bad, so got home - today? I have a look and there's a small puddle of oil.

Looks like it's a gonner.

Anyone got one to hand they could bring over? Or am I parked up until further notice? Lol

I have an ASZ sump but I doubt they are the same?

Nope - I suspect not the same.

No matter, i've just ordered a pattern part. They're no more or less reliable than the rubbish OEM cast alu part anyway.

I guess i'm parked up till it all arrives.

Hey folks

Just did mine in this weekend too (lesson learnt about taking the car up a Cumbrian dirt track with potholes!) and a sizeable hole too. Had an epic tow out by a mate as the AA wouldn't help - gits! Local recovery company's are so much more helpful.

Can't get it onto a ramp yet to do the work but am ordering the part tomorrow however looking at spares online there are two options: with or without the oil sensor hole. How would I know which mine without looking at it?

You won't know without looking at it. You can get a look at it without jacking up - if a cable goes to the sump, you've got one with a sensor.

Parts were dispatched today, I suspect however that i'll also need to pick up a long allen socket to get at the 2 recessed bolts. Can anyone shed any light on this to confirm/deny?
