How do you clean yours?

Featured Replies

So I am guessing a wax is better on a new car - just wondered if people could recommend any brands?

A high percentage of carnauba is what you want to look for.

I am very happy with products from Poorboy's World. They are generally of high quality. You should take a look at theire paste waxes.

Meguairs Range through and through for me

Some argue other products are better and they possibly are but I've yet to use a meguairs product on any car that i have not been impresses with

Find what works best for you..

the kind of money most people spend on detailing there is no best in my opinion only the opinion of the person recommending it

This is a very good site for lots of advice, info and products concerning cleaning/protecting paintwork etc. Be warned - doing it properly becomes obsessive!

(I'm using Collinite Insulator Wax over 3M Performance Finish - that's mainly carnauba over synthetic polymer btw. Told you it's obsessive!).

Do you CLEAN your car with wax?

JonA: no. We were all "reading between the lines" ie understanding what the original poster was meaning....

I see...... :hi:

I just get the immigrants at the hand car wash to do mine, looks excellent.

Ok, 'maintain the appearance' of your car. Is that better? :hi:

Until you look closely at it

I took my company car once and while in the line I saw one drop his sponge pick it up and carry on washing.

I'm an Autoglym fan. I use Autoglym SRP from time to time but also use Autoglym Aqua Wax when drying car.

Another vote for meguairs. Though the citigo go has diamondbrite protection so I just wash it.
