Clutch pedal click

Featured Replies

Hi all,

A Up! Owner here do any of you guys get a random plasticky sound when releasing the pedal occasionally?

I hear a 'click' sometimes when depressing the clutch depending on how fast I remove my foot but I think this is pretty standard for the triplets. It has to do with poor sound proofing or at least that's what people are saying...

In an earlier thread somebody suggested it was the switch for the stop/start activation which made the sound.

I do sometimes, but I think it's my knee

I hear a sound not entirely sure where it's coming from though?

I tend to agree with cortinaGT

Ha... know where you are coming from, but fortunately not when driving the car

I don't have any stop start on mine. It's really random, typicaI - I have the car booked in next week and its been pretty quiet over the last few days. Will let you know how I get on.

Little update.

Car has been fitted with a new pedal box and clutch pedal, it's made a huge difference feels like new now.

Did they say what the issue is/was?

I can only imagine the pedal mechanism had failed. It feels really smooth to operate now, was driving me crackers clicking every other gear change.

Skoda issued a bullettin to dealers informing them that the clicking noise when pressing / depressing the clutch pedal is normal and nothing can be done ...
