My Yeti stop at 1/4 fuel tank

Hi,

I have Skoda Yeti 1.2 TSI 2010 and  I have one serious problem. When I go to long trip and start the trip with full fuel tank, on 1/4 left of fuel my Yeti stop. When I put only one liter than my Yeti again is OK. After putting 1 or 1,5 liter (I was filled with bottle on fuel station) I was fill my tank full with 35 liters on fuel station so I am sure that in my car already I have 1/4 parts on my tank. I try to search on internet and I find that my car have two sections/zones fuel tank. In one section is fuel pump and in another is fuel suction pump. I found this on internet:

http://workshop-manuals.com/skoda/yeti/power_unit/1.8/112;_118_kw_tsi_engine/fuel_supply_gas_operation/fuel_tank_and_fuel_delivery_unit/removing_and_installing_suction_jet_pump/

So I think my suction jet pump maybe not work because when I fill my tank with fuel firs is filling the section where is the fuel pump and after filling the first section then start to filling second section where is suction jet pump.

Any one can help me, any one have similar problem?

Ivo.

I like a nice simple step by step diagnoses, start with the simpler things,

is the fuel line filter blocked?

Sounds very much like the suction jet pump, have you had a diagnostic test done, that may point to where the problem is.

Yes I made the diagnostic test with VSDS and receive this error (on the same Mileage 44234km when my Yeti stop)

Prontoo, have you cleared the error code and seen if it comes back on?

I have diagnostic from rosstech with VCDS software. This error I have seen first time after my car stop (I have the diagnostic unit 1 year and I have made more then 10 diagnostic checks). So I didn't erase errors yet but I will. But I don't think that will happen again except if I have long trip because repeat frequency is 1 as you see on my previews post. Any way I will try to erase and I will see what will happen.

If it is an old problem then the code will not come back when you clear it, if it comes back you have a problem, I suspect if it is the suction jet pump then it will be showing as broken all the time and the code coming straight back. As you know the car will run fine until you get to 1/4 full and then the rest of the fuel will not be transferred over to be pumped up to the engine.  It does sound like a new pump may be needed.
