PD130 Superb Smoke and acceleration problem

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2005 Superb with PD130, and 01v transmission.

Approx a week ago it started to smoke badly ( black smoke) while accelerating. It has 190 000KM (120k mile). Oli+filter+air filter have been changed approx. 10k ago.

during normal cruise it has no problem, but when I have to accelerate it smokes around 2000rpm and it goes away around 3000-3500rpm ( or possibly I don't see it in the mirror).

I've checked it with Vag-Com and all the values are seems to be good, no fault code

MAF reads values, many times higher then expected values, and this bothers me. Attached a screenshot about the expected and actual airflow values.

light blue is the expected while the green is the measured by MAF. orange is the rpm and white is the gas pedal. Is it normal to have these kind of differences ?

Around the middle there is pretty high jump in the measured air flow, while the engine is decelerating, and pedal is at 0%.

Can anyone explain me what is going on here ?

Thank you,

Peter

not sure about your vagcom readings, but my advice is don't get bogged down, start with the basics.. is she boosting when it clears at 3?

check all boost pipes and connections, check all vacuum pipes and joiners, especially the one going to the waste gate, and make sure the leaver is moving.

Hi!

I had the same problem last year, at approx 90.000 km. VAG readings were OK, I changed the MAF, no effect.

The cause of the smoke and irregular run was  the hose between the turbocharger and intercooler. It is accesible from bellow after removing the shield, on the rigt side of car long axis looking from the front.

Since I was away from home, I fixed the broken hose with good strong tape, and I ran so for a while.

The pat code is 3B0145834AC.

I hope this helps.
