fault code 01273 - fabia 1.4tdi

Hi all,

I put a post up previously about fans in the car stopping working and climate control unit flashing on ignition. Anyway friend of mine plugged it into his diagnostics machine and came up with above fault code (see pic attached)

Could anyone shed any light on scenarios as been told it could be faulty resistor or as far as faulty climate control unit so in my head costs on this could be relatively small or stupidly high and would ideally want to know worst case before sending into garage then been hit with an almighty bill

- Fresh Air Blower (V2) 

Possible Causes 

• Fresh Air Blower (V2) defective

Control Module for Fresh Air Blower (J126) defective

Short of open circuit in wiring to Fresh Air Blower (V2)

Climatronic Control Module (J255) malfunctioning

Possible Solutions 

• Check Fresh Air Blower (V2)
  • Perform Output Test (Check Air Vents while Blower is active)

• Check Meas. Blocks while Blower is active

Check Control Module for Fresh Air Blower (J126)

• Perform Output Test (Check Air Vents while Blower is active)

Check wiring and connectors
