Hi Spaced99, hope all is well, I found you on the map for vcds owners. I used someone well known on the forum before called rustynuts & I was wondering if you could help me as you thankfully you live near where my wife works ? 

My car is a Skoda Octavia Mk2 2006 Diesel  Elegance  

I have a three things I ideally need your help with regarding abs, power steering and radio.

POWER STEERING 

So firstly whenever I disconnect my battery the power steering light comes on which is normal and normally when I drive for a bit it comes off, however this time I have tried everything even turning the wheel to the right to left full lock to clear the code, my scanner can’t tell me if there is anything wrong which I don’t believe there to be. Please may you scan it so I can know the problem and possibly clear it. 
 

ABS LIGHT

So with the abs light I took it to garages and scanned it my self and gave indication of faulty abs sensor which is common in vw group cars. So I replaced the sensor with a a new one and tried to clear the light but it still remains the garage stated it could also be linked row an abs pickup ring which I have bought and was did pay someone too fit it when they changed the sensor but they never did. I was hoping you could scan and let me know what the fault code is with more detail.

RADIO

Lastly I had my 2006 Octavia retro fitted with a 2010 RNS510 unit in 2019 I had someone code it in with the new canbus gateway I bought for a 2013 car so it didn’t drain the battery and to make sure it turned off the radio. My problem is that unit broke and I bought a new unit and I’m not sure but I might need the unit coding back in ? But not sure as the canbus gateway is still in the car so I thought it should be fine and plug and play. 
 

Anychance you could help me with this would really appreciate it as I’m due to sell the car soon.
