  1. Update.... I have performed a little experiment by only using Shell Vpower diesel for the last three weeks. MPG has now increased to just shy of 46 from just under 43. Better, but still not that impressed.
  2. No, I haven't tried manually importing them. I'll have a go and report back.
  3. I have a Bolero and it stops syncing contacts at around 800 (I think). I only noticed this the other day.... EDIT: Scratch that - a quick google shows that 2000 can be stored, but only the first 200 are imported - whatever that means: link to manual - see page 42
  4. Same here too. There shouldn't be any water build on the discs though should there? I would have thought centrifugal force would have seen to that ??
  5. Yep, its a diesel Yep, I used cruise on the BMW; and tyre pressures are checked weekly. 27k+
  6. I'm very curious about some of the mpg rates being quoted on here. I think there must be something wrong with my car. I do about 700 miles a week and, according to the maxi-dot thing, I never get above an average of 43mpg. The majority of my travel is late at night to avoid traffic, meaning I can motor along with cruise control set above the limit, but not at licence losing speeds. When crossing the M62 through the 50mph limit, with cruise control set to 53, I can get about 46mpg. The fuel I buy is standard diesel (not the premium stuff) and a mixture of Shell, BP and supermarkets - whatever is convenient really. The Skoda is miles away from my old 2009 BMW 320D SE. Same roads, same conditions and an average mpg of 55mpg. Any tips?
  7. I had a similar problem with mine requiring a call out. Turns out it was the gear selection cable retaining clip was bent and had fallen off, meaning that gear selection was a completely random affair. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/312762-help-gearbox-problem-on-my-6-week-old-vrs/#entry3741690
  8. My Tyre pressure warning light came on about 20 seconds after I'd had a blow-out and was coming to a halt. I severely repremanded it for being sarcastic :-)
  9. Not really sure, I'll give it a good sniffing later. But it wasn't noticable when I scooped it all out.
  10. £75 well spent. I've used mine twice in 5 months of ownership. Regarding run-flats, I had them on my last two cars (BMW 320D) and hated them. Unless you got the pressure absolutely 100% correct, they would track and wobble over white lines in a really unnerving manner.
  11. Hi folks, Two days ago I had a puncture needing me to swap to the spare wheel. When I lifted the space saver and all the associated paraphenalia out, I noticed about half an inch of water. Any ideas where it may be coming from? I've never had this amount of water ingress in any other car I've owned.
  12. Tell me more!!! It's not often I'm right, so I'd like to milk it for bit ;-)
  13. Apparently, it has two infotainment systems - impressive :-) •Columbus Satellite Navigation System with multitouch colour 8 screen with DAB/Dual SD/CD/USB/AUX/Bluetooth and 64GB Internal memory ..... ..... •Bolero touchscreen infotainment system with SD/CD/DAB Radio/MP3
