  1. I have a 1.2 TSI DSG Elegance estate, and it drives very well. It's just 1202 kg, and compared to my mk5 golf estate 1.4 TSI DSG, 122 hp, it does not feel considerably weaker. Mind you, the golf is 1350 kg.
  2. Had the same warning message appear soon after I picked up the car. Dealer suggested that I take it to the garage so they can check. Have not yet had time to visit them though. Interestingly, the error message disappeared after two days and has been error free since. Mine is w4 build too, so could indeed be that it has to do with the xenon batch they were installing at that time. does the dancing at startup.
  3. Thanks for this excellent post, PekoSI, you are really lucky to have the car delivered in such a short timeframe! I wish we had the sunroof as an option for the estates here in Hungary - I would have definitely gone for this extra too! Nice pictures - is it the Triglav mountain in the background of your car somewhere near Bled? Enjoy your new car!
  4. ordered on 10th of October, dealer seemed hesitant about January delivery, said it was still unconfirmed - so I'm hoping for a January delivery  the order did not have options that should delay the delivery were I was told (pano roof is not on the option list for the estate in Hungary for some reason). 1.2 TSI DSG Elegance
  5. I went through the same process - bought a set of winter wheels and tyres for my 1.2 TSI DSG still in the works, and went for the 195/65 R15 set - the ET is 43 for the 6J x 15 steel wheel. The owner's manual on page 234 will also confirm this. http://ws.skoda-auto.com/OwnersManualService/Data/en/Octavia_5E/11-2013/Manual/Octavia/A7_Octavia_OwnersManual.pdf I guess the thing to be aware of with winter tyres is that if you have the 205/55 R16 tyres fitted on the 6.5J 16 wheels, then you will not be able to use snow chains with the 6.5J 16 wheels, should you decide to go for the 205/55 R16 winter tyres. One of the reasons apart from cheaper price and narrower tyre profile therefore better grip onsnow and ice, I went for the 195/65 R15 winter tyres myself.
  6. Hello everyone, My name is Attila and I am from Budapest, Hungary, and based on the details on your members map, I seem to be the very first member of Briskoda.net from Hungary! I can't believe no one else has joined you yet from Hungary. I am a soon to be owner of a Skoda Octavia Estate Elegance 1.2 TSI DSG, and I currently drive a Skoda Octavia group brother, a white VW Golf Estate 1.4 TSI DSG. I came across your site while browsing for the benefits of using a smaller, or rather, narrower tyre as a winter tyre replacement for the standard 205/55 R16 wheels that come with my car. I am a big car fan, and I especially like VW Group models, which explains the current Golf Estate and now the new Octavia Estate i have at home. The dealer told me that I would most probably be able to get my hands on my new Octavia in the first weeks of January, ordered on week 41, so hopefully I will not face any major delays that I read about elsewhere on this forum, people having to wait for some of the new safety extras that are available for the new Octavia, and are impacted by supply shortage. So, while I am waiting for my new car to be delivered in January, I will be feeding my hunger for any news and pieces of information on Skoda on this site, I also hope to be able to share with you a few pics when I finally have my white Estate delivered to me. Attila
