  1. I have the Thule 775 footpack with the Thule wingbars and a massive Kamei 510 roofbox now fitted. Roof opens and all is well with the world..
  2. I had this exact issue: SIM Card, seemingly perfect network services and a red globe driving me crazy. I did a full factory reset which worked. You then have to go into the Skoda Connect Web Portal and delete your car from your Skoda Connect account. You then re-add the car (copy the VIN number to notepad or similar) to your Skoda Connect account which produces another registration pin to use on the Columbus. Go back to the car and go to Skoda Connect and enter the new pin. It gave me an error but when left alone for 20 mins it seemed to reactivate, generate a flurry of emails and all is now well again with the world. I would suggest all of the above but instead of a full factory reset, just do a factory reset on Skoda Connect.
  3. This indeed would be useful to know. The google maps, weather and petrol prices etc all seem to work which suggests that the data connection via the SIM is active however the globe remains stubbonly red.
  4. Did you manage to get the little red globe to go white? Mine was working fine but has now also turned red indicating that there is no data connection. No idea how to fix it.
  5. Haha. Loving the straight answer. I have the roof bars on and off through the year for cycling, camping, heading away etc. Typically when they are on, I am somewhere sunny where I would like the roof open. I know the roof is one of those marmite options, but i have it down pretty much every mile driven at the moment. The roof is essentially in half with the front half sliding over the rear. When the front half starts to to lift to go over the back the edge in the middle that splits tilts up and gets some height before levelling out and sliding back.
  6. I have searched plenty of topics but haven't found anyone that has a set of roof bars that still allow the panoramic roof to open unimpeded. I know on my Superb II Estate I researched to death until I found a set of Atera Signo RT Aero 122cm roof bars that worked a treat however I got rid of these when I sold the Superb. The Thule buyers guide recommends a 775 foot pack which I am concerned will be too low down compared to the 757 (similar style to the Atera) to open the roof. Anybody out there with the Thule 775 footpacks and the pano roof?
  7. I have ordered this to cut down for 7 seat mode, a little wider than the Sakura: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00AYXADDC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I am in 7 seat mode, with kids seats in the third row, much more than I thought I would be. Kids love it back there.
  8. Two kids under 5 in a cage usually. They create so much mess and mud. If I could rubberize everything from the front seats back I would. One trip to the 5 year olds rugby on a Saturday creates so much mud everywhere. Unreal. I never had one in my Superb estate. I had an old picnic blanket with a waterproof underside that seemed to suffice. But then for any dirty work I had Subaru Tribeca that used to get thrashed. Now that the Kodiaq is the big car in the family it will be called for all the rough stuff. I have a boot liner for our other car but as the boot only fits two shopping bags that is only in case of milk bottle leakage.
  9. Photos attached of the Rezawplast. I haven’t flattened it. Just unrolled and put in. The back right corner could do with some reshaping but will no doubt conform with the first heavy load. Very happy with it. Not much of a lip at all.
  10. The package is not that big. It is rolled and inside a thin plastic sheet type cover so no bulky cardboard box. The plastic wrap is enough to protect it as nothing can break on it! It is as tall as the Kodiaq boot is wide and a rolled about 15cms across? Do roofbox deliver to europe? Great company to deal with. Got my roofbox, roofbars and three thule bike racks from them before this. I got it in the car tonight, along with the rubber rear mats and rubber transmission tunnel protector, which are excellent, as darkness fell so will take some photos in the morning if I remember!
  11. Yep! All went well at the dealer. Car is a dream to drive. Haven’t pushed it too hard to stretch it out. I put my foot down at one point and it did roar in response but I backed right off. I had visions of pistons being ejected from the bonnet. The car is effortless. The steering, the response. The adaptive cruise control is amazing. Just amazing. Never had it on any other car and yeah, impressive.
  12. I heard nothing from dealer since ordering. I checked with ŠKODA on Sunday 8th April via customer services online chat and they said that it was handed over from UK port and delivered to dealer on 31 March. I rang dealer and they said it was on the way to them with arrival for Wednesday 11th April. I am picking up tomorrow at 0930. Not sure where it was for the 12 days in between!!! Can only assume as it is a multi site franchise that it was at some kind of intermediate depot? Also not sure if I would have ever seen it had I not contacted the dealer!
  13. Will do. Pick up the car on Saturday. Absolutely baffles me that there is no boot liner that fits for when the 3rd row is up.
  14. Ah, thanks both. Ordering now.
