Does anyone see the point in the Connect feature - and mobile app? I have just taken delivery of a new 245 (161 day wait - like many here) and whilst checking the weather and fuel prices is OK - it’s hardly a game changer. I downloaded the Connect app and the MySkoda app on my phone - expecting it to be similar to the BMW and VW apps which enable you to check if your cars locked, fuel levels and alarms if it moves out of certain areas - all remotely - I can’t see any of these options. Am I just being thick?

I've have my Octavia Elegance for a few months now, and there's one thing I've not spotted / figured out yet. That's if there's a way, at the touch of a button to turn off the central screen so the stereo is still on? I found the energy saving bit in the settings but that turns it off all the time. I find I like the screen on most of the time but on some dark country roads I find the glow from the screen distracting yet don't want to turn the whole unit off. In my old cars you used to be able to at the touch of a button and so I'm a bit surprised I can't find it on this one. Any ideas?

Mine dropped a little over 2 weeks, oddly it was two weeks when the car didn't move having been left in an airport carpark. I put it down to the hot weather the uk had whilst I was away,being angled such that the sun was blasting thought the window all day, as it never budged before and doesn't appear to have done yet since. Mines the high-end type for high beam assist.

Maybe a bit optimistic of me,,,but have you tried the card in slot 1?
