  1. Success! I managed to pull the top cover off, thanks for the info I don't think I was trying hard enough. Starting from the off-side seemed to be the easiest way to separate the two parts... (and I've only lost one of the rivets) Now for the mesh, I'm thinking of going for a black mesh and possibly not fitting it up against the grill so that the appearance remains more standard. I'll have a look and see if that is a practical solution. Thanks once again for the help Bootlace
  2. Thanks for the detailed instructions, they will prove very useful when I get round to doing the job. I tried to remove the black cover this morning just to see how much room I had to work in, I removed the two 30 torx screws and plastic rivets easily to detach it from the front panel but when I tried to separate the top cover from the grill I couldn't get them apart. I chickened out as the grill feels a bit flimsy when giving it a good tug and thought I might break something expensive. Am I missing something? is there a technique to this or am I just not giving it enough persuasion? Any advice would be most welcome. Bootlace
  3. My nickname was given to me by a work colleague in the 1980's. He liked to give everyone an alternative moniker. He thought I looked like the actor Trevor Eve who played Eddie Shoestring in a TV series at the time (can't see the likeness myself). So Shoestring was changed into Bootlace.
  4. Ordered my Yeti Outdoor 1.2 TSI SE DSG on 21st March. Added Amundsen Sat Nav option a week later Collected it on 2nd June 2 weeks ahead of predicted delivery date.

  6. I've just returned from a tour of Co. Cork and Co.Kerry in the south west of Ireland. Skodas are a popular car there and I saw several Yetis on my travels. Not surprising when you consider some of the minor roads are a bit uneven and very narrow, suits the Yeti perfectly.
  7. Hi All, This is my first Skoda (Had VW Golfs for years) and my first ever forum so bear with me. Took the plunge and bought a Jungle Green Yeti, I had to wait 10 weeks for it and couldn't believe how impatient I got towards the arrival date. I've had it a month now and couldn't be more pleased with it. Cheers Bootlace
