  1. If you decide to go for that particular example, I should beat them up on the price: that same seller had that same car advertised for £3695 just a few weeks ago, and if I remember correctly, they've had it for a while now. Make sure that all of the electrical extras work properly, the heated seats for example can be a faff to replace/repair the elements in case of failure. Good luck! E
  2. As of February 2014, only one of the links in this topic work, and it only had manuals for the Mark II... I did however find this link for us... http://new.skoda-auto.com/en/mini-apps/owners-manuals/Pages/fabia-6y.aspx
  3. I used Micro Mesh, a padded abrasive cloth that goes to very fine grades (12k), specifically for wet polishing plastics, to do just this to Honda HR-V headlights a few years ago. Easiest to do with the headlights out of the car, but then I haven't tried removing Skoda headlights yet... E
  4. Great! Would you be able to give me a ballpark figure, so I know if I should hang on? Kind regards, E
  5. Hey all, Former Fabia owner looking to replace my current non-Skoda, so will probably be lurking around on here again. Looking forward to it... Eric
  6. Hiya, How much for the car in standard trim? E
  7. Oh, I know it'll be quieter than the punto it's replacing. And I usually ride a motorcycle, so I know noisy! We're planning on keeping this for a while and it's just something I want to do to make the occasional long journeys we make more pleasant.
  8. Hello all, We've recently put a deposit on a 54 Fabia. Its a 1.9 tdi, Ambiente in Highland Green. Can't wait to trade in the little Punto and pick up the new (to us) car. It looks like there's a lot to catch up on here, I'll be trawling through the old posts for tips and tricks. As it's coming from a dealer fully serviced, first thing is probably to insulate the car from road/engine noise a little better. Unless I find on here that there's something else that should get a look first. E
