Rear brake caliper wind back question

I have undone the bleed valve to aid the movement of the piston, I am sure I read to do this in order to prevent damage maybe to the ABS unit? -
CCZA TSI engine noisy water pump seals?
mac replied to Greybeard's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Yes, the water pump was replaced along withy a good will gesture of 60% by Skoda UK, hope this helps. The aux pump was initially replaced but the main pump was leaking slightly. -
Hi, is the battery still available please?

CCZA TSI engine noisy water pump seals?
mac replied to Greybeard's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I have an 09 Vrs Tsi, in consultation now with Skoda UK, vehicle has just done 23k. High pitched whine like a dry idler gear moreso when the engine is hot, initially thought to be the aux water pump but not the case now. Fingers crossed for a happy ending ! -
Off there tomorrow, please no rain !!!

Unfortunately not, although I will take this up with Skoda UK as the car has very few miles on it.

Hi All, I have an issue which involves my auxiliary water pump. It is making a whining noise (like a drying out idler ). It varies in volume but is there a majority of the time. My dealer (Parkview in Reading) diagnosed the fault and I will monitor the noise short term as it is not felt to be terminal at this stage. £130 plus fitting was a bit of a shock on a 23k car. Some mention on VW forums of this snag and my dealer said they have replaced a couple already. Has anyone else suffered from this issue? How was it resolved? Many thanks in advance Regards Mac

Try the pollen filter, I replace ours regularly as it caused ours to condensate when even marginally dirty

Thanks Guys, reckon mine is still on the originals 3 years on ! Best I get them sorted Regards Mac
