Welcome. If the noise appears to be coming from the driver side near the wing. It is probably the evap system valve. Nothing to worry about if it is.

Just wanted to say Hi. Been using the forum for a while reading up on the Mk1 Octavia, vRS in particular. Recently bought a vRS and like it very much. Couple of issue to resolve and then will hopefully look at a few tweaks to freshen up the running gear. looking rather grubby in that photo :think:
