  1. I had the coil light flashing too after i installed a remaped ECU (not from blacksmoke though). I scanned with VCDS and asked it to clear all fault codes have not had the problem since. Great job on the rust btw
  2. I have an estate and wanted to keep the backseats free so i glued a piece of 10 mm plywood behind the rear arch carpet and mounted the amp on that . I also took the seats out when running my cables. It makes it a lot easier.
  3. I dont know if this can help you but over at myturbodiesel thay have put together a list over the most common turboes in the vokswagen group range. Amongst the numbers there are also some VW part numbers: http://www.myturbodiesel.com/wiki/turbo-upgrade-guide-and-part-numbers-for-vw-and-audi-tdi-engine/ I have a 1,9 tdi AHF 110 engine with the "vnt-15" turbo that has the Gartett number GT1749V and the VW#03g 253 014 r for an example. I think that the Garrett numbers should be the following (Correct me if iam wrong): 1.9 tdi - 90 hp: GT1749V -110 hp: GT1749V -130 hp: GT1749VA -150 hp: GT1749VB If this can help with the vW numbers
  4. You are welcome. If you have never had the aircon compressor off before it can sit pretty tight due to oxidation of the mounts may take a bit of precision hammering
  5. http://skoda.workshop-manuals.com/octavia-mk1/index.php?id=1224 This should be the instructions you are looking for?
  6. Thanks do you know if VW switched side of every single component in the right driven vs. the left hand driven versions?
  7. What do i need to remove to get to the waste pipe? is the glove box enough
  8. Btw. it also prevents "runaway engine" if you should ever encounter that. Maybe on second thougth i should get mine fixed
  9. It is the vacum actuator for the anti-shudder valve. It "starves" the engine for air when it is shut down so you get a more smooth engine shutdown. my hose to the actuator has been broken of for two years now and i have never really felt any difference
  10. I think i have the exact same problem, because the car does not leave a condensation puddle after being parked when the aircon has been on. And my front left footwell is soaked. Did you seal the outside of the housing like seen on this picture? or did you seal it inside the car.
  11. Mark Lemon, did the trick with cleaning out behind the front wheel arches do it for you? or do you stille have the problem?
  12. That is awesome. He got quite some skills too
  13. Agreed 2 x AMG in the driveway, the money for a s2000 AND 25.000$ for the build, thats a bit of cash
