Skoda obd2 plug for use with the Skoda Connect Lite
Trev96 replied to Trev96's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk IV (2021 > )
Thanks gogo for that. I picked the car up yesterday so i'm at the learning stage. I will spend a couple of hours parked up with the manual and sort it all out -
I would like to order some spare parts/accessories for my Fabia mk4 which should be with me in a couple of months. A few years ago i got a Yeti spare wheel from Rainworth at a good price, but they don’t advertise their parts department now. Superskoda in the Czech Republic seems to have stopped trading. Does anyone have tips on where to try?

I have for the second time left a low drain item (phone charger, gps lead) connected to the 12v socket, not just overnight but for 2 weeks or more. The car has not been used much over the last year. is there a way using VCDS to program the socket to work ‘ignition on’ only? BTW the RAC have been very good testing & sorting out a new battery.

Auto Express has published the prices for the new Fabia saying it’s on sale now. Skoda website still says available in 2022. Could the mag be referring to a continental model and just changing those prices into GBP?

This is probably a better forum to post this than the "Handy Tips". Occasionally my yeti’s battery gets low enough to not be able to start the engine. The problem is that the car has to be nose-in in the garage (no mains electricity), so I can’t open the bonnet. I believe that it’s possible to trickle charge it via the cigarette lighter socket using a good 12v battery . Has anybody done this? Would a 12Ah motorcycle battery do? Twice before I relied on a RAC bloke to help me push it out.

It looks like it is only the mk3 details. The brochure at the bottom quotes “UK 5/21” which I assumed to be the latest published one. I wonder why Carwow still lists factory fitted options when they stopped mk3 production some time ago.

May brochure & pricelist up on Skoda website

I had a brief search of posts here and couldn't find this mentioned: From May 2018 MOT to include diesel DPF unit. This page should explain it: https://www.carkeys.co.uk/news/these-are-the-six-new-driving-laws-coming-to-effect-in-2018 In the past there have been posts about removing the DPF to avoid problems they can cause.

CR140 TDI & Shark Remap after Dieselgate fix.
Trev96 posted a topic in Performance & Tuning Upgrades
I have a Shark Performance remap using their STS unit which I am very happy with. What has the experience been for others getting Skoda's remap 'fix' for their emissions cheat? Has it buggered up the Shark map or its ability to use the STS unit to restore it? -
VAG Group seem to change cam belts by age rather than mileage. Back in 2008, with my Seat Altea it was after 4 years. It's now 5 years for my Yeti 2.0 140 TDI

I so wish that Skoda made auto wipers an optional extra, I would always opt for 3-position intermittent wipe like my '80s Datsun had. (2,4,8 second delay?)

Keeping on topic, the glass didn't rust. The wiper arms though.....
