  1. Just a thought, and I haven't read deep into the above posts but by the looks of it the car has been lowered. Now below is a double wishbones, to give you an idea. Loose the top wishbone for starters. The idea of the top is to keep those wheels slap bang on the surface. Loose the top and you begin to have negative camber. If its not the same on both sides then have you mounted a curb or hit a pot hole recently or even had either wishbones changed??? Also you can see the hub, see what I mean
  2. I bent hub?????? The hub is hefty piece of metal, it would take a lot to to throw that off, and were talking the wheel leaving the car whilst driving and smashing into the deck to cause any damage to the hub. Only time I have come across a hub replacement is because the bolts have been cross threaded. But that's not to say its never happened. PW
  3. Any ideas on location for the relays?? And locations of everything else. I got to some how pass this info on haha Thanks
  4. I would show you the wrap I did in my old BMW. Carbon Di-Noc. Took near enough 5 hours to do, burning fingers, but it looked awesome. If I find a way of up loading or linking it then I shall let y'all know PW
  5. Like a 57 / 10 plate Ford mondeo, come in both guises, saloon and hatch. Very rare its seen but they do loom around in the dark of the night mwahahahaha
  6. Ha I too have had this debate many many times. I love the look of a saloon. But by far the Hatch is much better. But then we are tasked with explaining what the difference between a hatch and a saloon is. Easiest way I find it to ask the following. If you had to put a body in a boot would you struggle? Yes = Saloon No = Hatchback GRIM I KNOW
  7. In a nut shell........... Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. VAGroup work in such magical ways
  8. Best bet is get your diesel on a Motorway. Do 100 miles or more work out from that..... OR Have a BBQ with the car in anger ..... My mothers Audi A3 1.8T (2009) will do an average of 39mpg (she still doesnt understand the concept of changing gears) :bandit:
  9. Its one of the Audi A5 sport back and Audi A4 saloon questions. Both look similar etc etc But the A5 will set you back near enough £8K more
  10. Hi all. Heated front seats on a friends car, same as mine, MK1 Octy. Both arent working, he has changed the temp selector switch and he is now lost. As am I with mine grrrr Please help. Many Fanks
  11. This thread has gone better than I thought
  12. Boogey taxi I like the green ones. Estate or Saloon?>??
  13. Ahhhhh see so this post was worth while afterall so nehhhhhhhhhhh hehe
  14. Yea I posted on that and failed. After searching myself. I shall take a picture of mine. See if people can make head or tail of what I am seeing, or not seeing
  15. Right ok. I have searched something like that under my seat but I can see. Any images etc because I am either being dull or I really am blind
  16. Evening all, Right all the work has been carried out, brakes are outstanding, they had to be bled too. The speakers are bliss, nice to hear my music without the interference. the window switch did the trick... But one problem prevails, the heated seat switch was changed but still the problem persists, i have been told it could be the heat mats in the seats or something else maybe. What do you think guys and galls?? Car is magic otherwise.
  17. Scroll to the top of the page and all shall be revealed :sun:
  18. Oh haha, very funny That was an extra too on the BM
  19. Haha, I know exactly what you mean. Cup holders for my car was an optional extra......... For the please of such a device would set back the new owner £120inc vat. I kid you not, its a shambles. Im sure I seen air on there too for an extra £1000 hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  20. Hi all, Ok the title isnt what you think it is, that said the shelves last night were certainly ready for this time of year........ Anyway! Do Skoda's have easter eggs aka little tricks, hidden cubby holes, funny dial tricks. E.G. if the headlights are one the windcreen demister is automaticaly on slightly. Press the mileage reset button for 5 seconds and it brings up back ground system information, fuel content added since it was built etc etc etc. My BMW had it, just curious if my dear Sko had it. Fanks PW :sun:
  21. Surely you cannot justify that filter on the left staying in much longer. Its disgusting. Its a shame that cars have become so called "expendable" :'( :'(
  22. Snap-On stuff will have it. Which one did he get?? Just so you know, got to 51.2 MPG (average) driving at 70+/- mph on cruise control......................... Sooooooo yea I think somethings up.
  23. Every filter every 10K. I dont care how many times the filters have been tested and how long they can last, going by what filters look like after 10K I wouldnt want them in any longer. 10000 miles coming around every 6 / 9 months. Id rather be breathing in fresh filtered air as apposed to stale clogged up filter air. I shall try and dig out an image of my pollen filter from my old car and the air filter after about 7000 miles..... Shocking. Not sure if its different car by car but with the old BM the engine was so so so sensitive you could feel the power dropping the more the filter collected particles. Personal prefence I suppose if you want every filter changed when you want it changed or when the dealers say so. Me I want them changed as and when I request.
  24. Yea I explained that I did not want it through warranty as the car should have never been sold with the issues and after less than a week I shouldnt be ringing them with multiple issues. If it was sold to me with the issues highlighted then I would have never driven 4 hours to get the car, I would have requested that the issues are resolved before I left. I explained that I do like the car very much but unless the problems could be sorted then I would be returning the car in the next 24hours and contacting Skoda UK and making a complaint to Griffin Mill direct and through Skoda UK for poor customer service, attitude etc. I will be making a complaint anyway to Skoda about Griffin Mill as the attitude and such poor poor service and they way the Service manager walked me outside to brush me off and throw me a shed full of bull about warranty etc. However if the issues are resolved then I will contact David Ian with praise and mentioning to Skoda UK how they have helped and resolved the issue. Its all about principle and hats off, David Ian Skoda have put their hands up and are willing to resolve the issue, quickly and trouble free. I dropped the car off this evening ready for the morning for the mechanic to begin work straight away. I shall certainly keep you all posted Regards PW
  25. I shall give that a go. See if that sorts it out. Thanks all for the help. I turned the heating on in the car earlier, it was already set on AUTO so I selected ECON and it still blew at a high fan speed till it reached 22 degrees then it calmed down but it certainly was feeling much warmer with the ECON displayed on the display. Now I have been educated it really is a clever system. Thanks again PW
