Pic just after a quick once over since being back from the west Country and fitting the new wheels. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

The NSF wheel on my car is noticeably further back. Basically nearer the back of the wheel arch when compared to the OSF. It has since been in to Skoda for an annual service, and although meaningless it's gone through their extensive multi point check. It's also since had full tracking and alignment done which hasn't affected it. The reason I'm now mentioning it is I've now installed wheels that stick out 6mm more than standard so now when reversing on full lock the tyre is barely fouling on the mud flap. FYI the car has Bilstein B8 shocks and H&R 40mm lowering springs. What's at fault here for it to be visually noticeable but not be picked up by Skoda or the tracking guys? The Yellow Stuff pads are a huge improvement. Much more resistant to brake fade compared to OEM pads when combined with ATE super blue or ATE Typ 200 brake fluid. Some people including myself find them more prone to sqealing in stop start driving. Many people have no sqealing at all. Can be found for around £80 a set. Here's one of Sonic's treats. A bargain GFB DV+ was marked down to £60 brand new of the demon tweeks eBay outlet. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

Answer to the first one. If the car wanders to one side the tracking is out. If the wheel isn't straight but the car is driving straight it probably means the tracking is fine but they didn't centre the steering wheel while adjusting it.

Wow OK a lot more involved than I expected. I can definitely do it without removing the aerial it just would have been a lot easier if I didn't have to. Thanks for your advice

Does anyone have a guide on removing the roof aerial before I end up butchering it? I'm planning to wrap my roof over the weekend so obviously need the aerial out of the way.

Thought it was about time I started a project thread after owning the car for over 3 years I've done a few mods since owning which I will begin to document, along with the £1200 I've spent so far this year on stuff I haven't installed yet. Post is a WIP as I collate some images

Just like how my ITG induction kit was an "investment". All the money saved from not using OEM replacement elements. -

Well say something was to "happen" to the standard exhaust. Replacing it with a custom setup is the cheaper option compared to the price for an OEM replacement. -
I'm up for this depending on the date.

It seems hit and miss so I would never rely on the warning signal. Just set a consistent routine of manually checking, making sure you do it the same every time.

The mid/rear section is just approx 200mm longer on the estate, an extra bit of straight pipe could easily be cut and welded onto an off the shelf system. Them again I'd rather spend my money at an exhaust builders, you get to spec exactly what you want, it's custom made and probably cheaper. -

Looking at a Fabia VRS mk II - few questions
SuperTurbo replied to evtilsley's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Yeah make sure you get the right comma oil. Comma XTC5L or XTECH is for Ford engines. For the twincharger and Comma oil your options are: PRO5L Prolife which is 5w30 XFV5L Type V which is 5w30 SYN5L Syner G which is 5w40 XFG5L Type G which is 5w40 Prolife and Syner G are their "Retail" packs and the Type V/G are their "Garage" range which is exactly the same oil in slight less attractive packaging but a lot less money. -
Wheel alignment after coilovers
SuperTurbo replied to SuperB-Nl's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
I have something to add to this. Been running B12 kit for a year now and also got full tracking and alignment done straight after. Had the car looked at today and the insides of both front tyres are at the limit so something must be akimbo.2 new tyres and tracking done again. -

It was more simple than I thought. The ones listed for Fabia Mk2 fit with no problem.
